Freak X | Ulysse Nardin

This is an important year for the groundbreaking and horologically imperious Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin. Launched in 2001, its Freak broke all the rules, offering no dial, hands or crown. A quarter of a century on, the Freak X retains the rotating movement-based display, but introduces a dial and a crown. The grey dial of the 2026 version dovetails beautifully with the leather strap. It’s a good-looking freak.
